I WAS SMARTER
Why? What has intelligence got to do with it? How many businesses started from an idea that grew.
The lady who did her neighbours’ ironing and went on to build up a successful business, getting a team together and doing washing, ironing, cleaning… The lad who washed cars at the weekend then went on to rent an old petrol forecourt and wash lots of cars, employing his mates to help, then another forecourt and another… They saw an opportunity and went for it!
I WAS EDUCATED.
Why? What has education got to do with it? Sir Alan Sugar, Donald Trump, they both left school young and learned through the university of life. They saw opportunities and went for it!
THE TIME WAS RIGHT
Why?
I’m so busy just now. I work long hours and have to spend time with the kids, my mother hasn’t been well… It sounds like your life is in meltdown, too busy to enjoy it! If an opportunity jumped out in front of you right now and promised you wealth and success you’d step over it without noticing it. Read this sentence again – Too busy to be wealthy and successful.
I KNEW WHERE TO START
The best place to start is to look at other successful people, listen and learn, follow and copy, do what they do. The difference between them and you is that they ignored all the ‘ifs’. They saw a business opportunity and went for it. They believed they could do it and didn’t stop to consider the ‘what ifs’
